Jen Julien - Community Mapping Officer Social Prescribing

JJ

Jen has joined Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance in October as Community Mapping Officer - Social Prescribing. Jen's first experience of working within the voluntary sector was with First Contact Clinical (FCC) CIC in South Shields. Initially working on short-term projects including the delivery of Alcohol Identification and Brief Advice training and supporting the mobilisation of Ways to Wellness, one of the very first Social prescribing initiatives.  Jen then moved into a more permanent role as the training manager overseeing the behaviour change skills training programmes. This increased her insight and experience within the voluntary sector, social prescribing services and partnership working across sectors.

More recently Jen has worked as a community connector for Thriving Together Northumberland supporting the voluntary sector by developing relationships and encouraging collaboration and partnership working across the sectors.

Jen joins us after providing project support for FCC on the South Tyneside Healthy Homes pilot working collaboratively with partners to develop and prototype a Healthy Homes programme through a social prescribing pathway.
