Sarah Reid is Chair of the Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance and owner of Richard Reed Solicitors based in Sunderland City Centre since 2009. Sarah has worked in Sunderland since2003 when she joined Richard Reed as a newly qualified Solicitor specialising in Divorce and Financial issues with an emphasis on a collaborative approach within her work. In 2017 Sarah took on the position of Managing Director and the responsibility of spearheading the management, strategic development, and long-term growth of the firm. Sarah has taken the lead in ensuring Richard Reed have developed a strong commitment for supporting their local community, keeping their vision around this very Sunderland centric meaning it's relevant and matters more to them. Sarah has taken part in all their firm charity endeavours, supporting the team and taking the lead, from attending events held by charities to helping the team raise money and awareness. The position of Chair of the SVSA aligns both Sarah's passion for Sunderland and for the impact charitable action can have. Sarah's experience with Richard Reed at both operational and strategic level and her experience of regulatory compliance, place her uniquely and in alignment with the skills and attributes necessary for the role of Chair of the SVSA, and along with her passion and motivation for the charitable sector, mean she is well placed to serve as Chair and to help the SVSA achieve its strategic aims and objectives.
