Registered charities exempted or excepted organisations can now apply for up to £10,000 (per year for up to 2 years) of funding for core costs and charitable activities that benefit the residents of Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Teesside.
Priority will be given to projects that ease social deprivation and/or enrich the fabric of the local community and the quality of life of individuals within that community.
The funding is being made available from the 1989 Willan Charitable Trust which, with the help of the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland, distributes up to £500,000 each year.
The Trustees prefer to prioritise projects for which the funding will represent a significant contribution to the delivery of the project.
The closing date for applications for this round of funding is the 15th May 2025
