Volunteer Co-ordinators Network

What is the Volunteer Co-ordinator's Network?
This peer support network is for those responsible for engaging, managing and supporting volunteers within a VCSE organisation in Sunderland. The network is made up of professionals who are specifically hired to oversee the volunteer programme, or volunteers with responsibility for other volunteers, including Trustees.

Purpose of the Network

To support a stronger, more effective and resilient voluntary sector in Sunderland by championing best practice and providing opportunities for volunteer professionals through shared learning and collaboration, as well as advocating for the value of volunteering and volunteer professionals.

The next meeting will be on Monday 12 May, 1.30-3.30pm

We will meet atSt. George's Church, FatfieldinWashingtonin their fabulous new community room and café area.

The meeting will focus on Neurodiversity and Volunteering and our key speaker is Racheal from the North East Autism Society.  We aim to help dispel any myths, and provide guidance and resources to enable your organisation to be as inclusive as possible.  You will also hopefully have the opportunity to hear from neurodiverse volunteers themselves.

An agenda and directions will be sent nearer the time but please SAVE THE DATE now.
