Developing a Health and Safety Policy for Your VCSE Organisation | Overview: This 2-hour workshop will equip participants with an understanding of the steps required to create a Health and Safety Policy for their VCSE organisation. It will introduce legal obligations and help you to understand Health & Safety policy in this short interactive session. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the session, participants will: • Understand the purpose and importance of a health and safety policy. • Recognise key legal and moral responsibilities for VCSE organisations. • Be introduced to the structure and content of a health and safety policy. • Be introduced to risk assessment and next steps. Bernard Sunley Foundation Virtual Funding Session | Bernard Sunley Foundation are a family grant making foundation which supports charities in England and Wales working to raise the quality of life and provide greater opportunities for the young, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged. The Foundation has awarded over £136 million in grants since it was established in 1960. Each year they give just over £4 million to capital projects that deliver a real community focus or provide facilities to support those in need. This session will provide information on the funds they have currently available, how to apply and there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions. Sir James Knott Virtual Funding Session | The primary objective of the Sir James Knott Trust is to help improve the conditions of people living and working in the Northeast of England. In the last financial year, the Sir James Knott Trust made grants to the value of £2.3m. The Trust funded 355 organisations who went on to support people across Tyne & Wear This session will provide information on the funds they have currently available, how to apply and there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions.
