The Football Foundation has announced new funding to improve football facilities for women and girls involved in grassroots football in England.
Supported by the Premier League, The FA and the UK Government, the Lionesses HERe to Play Fund aims to create inclusive and high-quality environments that encourage and sustain female participation in football at all levels.
Grants of up to £25,000 are available, covering up to 75% of total project costs. Applicants must provide match funding of at least 25%.
Eligible organisations include not-for-profit football clubs, voluntary groups, local authorities, County FAs, professional club community organisations, educational establishments offering community access, registered charities, and not-for-profit companies such as CICs and social enterprises. Affiliated clubs must have completed or registered for The FA's Equal Game workshop.
Funding can be used for improvements such as upgraded toilets and showers, changing rooms, baby change and breastfeeding areas, external lighting, signage, CCTV, clubhouse renovations and covered outdoor spaces.
Applications may be made at any time.
