In November 2021 the Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance together with the Community Voluntary Sector representatives successfully brought £204,000 into the city from the UK Community Renewal Fund (CRF).
This application was a direct response to challenges and issues around staffing capacity and an ageing workforce. The Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance brought partners together to apply for funding to improve outcomes for residents across Sunderland.
The programme is for 8 months and it started in January 2022. It is offering opportunities in relation to strengthening skills and knowledge, training and employment within the Community and Voluntary Sector and increase opportunities for individuals to work within communities across the city.
