About the organisation
Love, Amelia was established in 2018, registering as a charity in 2019. We offer practical support to babies, children, and those who care for them who are experiencing poverty and hardship. We believe that every child deserves the best start and that by reusing the items children have outgrown, we can maintain a circular economy to support those who need it most. We collect donations of equipment, clothes, toys and other items for babies, children, teenagers, and distribute them to families who would otherwise be without.
How we have helped
Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance have worked with Love, Amelia since July 2021, offering information, advice, and support to enable the organisation to grow and thrive. The alliance conducted a grants search which gave the team valuable information of available funding options and share continuous updates to the network through regular bulletins. Love, Amelia have successfully gained funding thanks to the information shared by The Alliance.
The Alliance have assisted Love, Amelia to access training, volunteering opportunities and network with other community groups and businesses across the city who want to make a meaningful contribution. They have assisted Love, Amelia to develop connections which have flourished as the organisation grows.
