Sharon joined the Voluntary Sector Alliance in November bringing with her a vast amount of experience of the Voluntary Sector after managing social prescribing team for 8 years at Age UK Sunderland. Sharon's role provided an interface between voluntary sector provider organisations and service users, health and social care multi-disciplinary teams and other statutory bodies to support individuals to self-manage their needs.
Prior to this Sharon was a Healthcare Professional with over 23 years NHS experience. Roles within her career included working at the North of England Commissioning Support Service developing and implementing commissioning plans, pathway and service redesign, monitoring, evaluating, tracking benefits and improvements.
Sharon also worked as a Learning & Development Officer in a large NHS Trust, monitoring and evaluating all training in line with NHS Litigation Authority minimum data set requirements to ensure the delivery of a high-quality training experience for staff as well as providing the best possible outcomes for patients.
Sharon has a BA Honours Degree in Education and Training which she achieved as a mature student and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.
