Veterans in Crisis and Sunderland Hospital Radio receive Graphic Design services

Veterans in Crisis

Corporate Client Case Study - Broxap

About the corporate organisation
Broxap is a family-owned business, founded 1946, specialising in the design and manufacture and installation of high specification street furniture, all types of shelters, design & build projects plus sports and playground equipment.

Based in Staffordshire, their purpose and goal is to supply high specification products which will endure a long, safe life, to every city, town, village and rural area throughout the UK.

Working with Sunderland City Council and Sunderland Voluntary Sector Alliance, Broxap were keen to support local VCSE organisations by using their knowledge, skills and expertise to provide a meaningful and tangible social value offer.

What was offered?
Broxap offered to deliver graphic design services, such as creating posters, literature, or flyers, to two local VCSE organisations.

The Social Value offer was cascaded to voluntary and community sector organisations, which initiated an enthusiastic response.

An independent panel carefully assessed the applications and, after some consideration, chose Radio Sunderland and Veterans in Crisis as the recipient of their donation.

How the Donation was used
Radio Sunderland Hospitals used the offer to design a pop-up banner to promote volunteering opportunities. The banner will help current volunteers to promote their presence at recruitment events, whilst also providing the public with details about the organisation and available volunteer positions. The banner serves as a conversation starter at the recruitment stand, ensuring that all volunteers present cover the information displayed for consistency when discussing volunteer opportunities.

Bill Bowes - Chairman of Radio Sunderland Hospitals said: "It's great to have such a professional focal point on recruitment days"

Yvonne Dyer - Volunteer said: "It's lovely to have the banner and point out to the public all the volunteer opportunities available at Radio Sunderland for all ages and all interests."

Veterans in Crisis used the design offer to create a logo for the launch of their podcast studio naming it "VICS Media".  Although they have begun implementing the new logo, the launch of the podcast channel on YouTube is pending. Complications arising from the interaction between the current site and the new one have caused delays, but they aim to finish it promptly. They are also currently renovating their podcast studio to create a more comfortable environment. The new logo will mirror the contemporary direction they are taking with their studio design.

Ger Fowler Founder and CEO said: "the logo is just what we are looking for"
