Jaguar Land Rover Launches Defender Awards

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced the launch of its Defender Awards Initiative to support small charities and not-for-profit organisations across the world working on conservation and humanitarian issues in their area.

The two-year programme represents a £1 million commitment.

In the first phase of the programme, there will be seven winners in total selected from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan and South Africa.

One award is available for UK registered not-for-profit organisations with an annual income of under £500,000. The winner will receive £100,000 in funding, two years of use of a Defender vehicle and mentorship.

Applications are being invited in the following categories:

  • Defenders of the Wild: Protecting endangered and at-risk species.
  • Defenders of Humanity: Meeting the needs of vulnerable communities. To help vulnerable communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises such as food poverty or flooding.
  • Defenders of the Land: Preserving natural habitats and promoting biodiversity.
  • Defenders of the Sea: Safeguarding marine life and coastal areas. 

The deadline for entries is 16 June 2025.
