The Trust offers grants of up to £5,000 three time a year (each term) to educational establishments and charities working predominantly in England who wish to carry out projects and activities that support the teaching and learning of physics.
The funding is to be used for:
- Curriculum support: to support the teaching and learning of physics from 11-18 in the classroom, including equipment for teaching physics, teaching resources and teacher CPD. Applications accepted from secondary schools or post 16 education institutions only.
- Enrichment activities: to support physics extra-curricular activities for school and college students (4 -18) from under-represented groups. This may include activities based in school such as clubs run by the school or college, family activities or activities delivered by external providers. Applications accepted from primary and secondary schools and colleges, and community or extra-curricular organisations (charity, CIC or otherwise non-profit).
The funding cannot be used to purchase IT equipment or text books.
There is one round of funding each term. Successful applicants will be notified within two months of the closing date.
Applications are now open with a deadline of 22 June 2025.
