New £3 Million Fund to Support Youth Led Social Action

Voluntary and community organisations, along with statutory bodies, can now apply to a new £3 million fund supporting youth-led social action across England.

Launched by The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the #iwill Fund 2025 will back four to six major initiatives that put young people—particularly from low-income backgrounds—at the heart of local change. Applicants must match at least £200,000 in cash or in-kind contributions, with projects aimed at those up to age 20, or 25 for young people with additional needs.

The fund seeks to expand access to social action, increase youth voices in project design, and reach those not previously engaged. Eligible projects can include environmental action, peer mentoring, health campaigns, tackling food insecurity, intergenerational initiatives, support for carers and disabled young people, and creating new youth networks, etc.

Expressions of Interest close 24 September 2025, with projects running to March 2027.
