Sunderland Volunteering Network Meeting
Wednesday 18 March, 10am-12noon on Wednesday 18 Marchat Bede Tower, Burdon Road, SR2 7EA.
Theme - The Green Advantage: engagement and impact through volunteer activism.
Areas will include:
- Why sustainability fits with volunteering.
- Why volunteers are key to local climate action.
- How green thinking can evolve or transform a volunteer programme.
- Using sustainability to attract corporate volunteers.
There will be time to network, and there is space for you to bring your own banners and marketing materials to promote your organisation.

What is the Volunteer Co-ordinator's Network?
This peer support network is for those responsible for engaging, managing and supporting volunteers within a VCSE organisation in Sunderland. The network is made up of professionals who are specifically hired to oversee the volunteer programme, and volunteers with responsibility for other volunteers, including Trustees.
Purpose of the Network
To support a stronger, more effective and resilient voluntary sector in Sunderland by encouraging best practice and providing opportunities for volunteer professionals in shared learning and collaboration, as well as advocating for the value of volunteering and volunteer professionals.
